For Project #3, we were told to write a paper using David Foster Wallace and two other texts that we read to expand on Wallace’s argument and explain how the other authors’ ideas connect/overlap/come into conflict with DFW’s thinking, and to what extent. We also were told to explain in detail concerning ethics/values/what it means to be considerate fit with the texts we selected. I chose to write about the “troubled middle,” which is basically the grey area in the topic of the morality of eating and killing animals. Here are my first and final drafts:
