I believe my Significant writing project (Project #3) clearly shows my ability to cite sources using MLA guidelines and to make local revisions to address typical errors. When quoting a portion from one of my sources, I made sure to use MLA format to cite it. In paper 3 I wrote “ In “Consider the Lobster,” Wallace points out this concept by writing, “The fact that even the most highly evolved nonhuman mammals can’t use language to communicate with us about their subjective mental experience is only the first layer of additional complication in trying to extend our reasoning about pain and morality to animals” (Wallace). Which showed this ability. Also, I cited one of my sources like this: Foer, Jonathan Safran. “Against Meat.” The New York Times, The New York Times, 7 Oct. 2009, www.nytimes.com/2009/10/11/magazine/11foer-t.html. Which showed my ability to cite sources using MLA format. I also went through several times and edited any local revisions like grammar and spelling. Overall, I’ve become very good at this over the course of the semester.
